E. japonicus originated in Japan but has long been cultivated in European gardens. aIt is known to thrive in many soils as well as sun or shade, in other words an easy species to look after. This shohin size example has been created from garden centre material and features that attractive variegated leak. It is an evergreen. The tree is 27 cm. high with a spread of 28 cm. The trunk at the base is 2.5 cm. across. The ceramic pot measures 17x17x 8 cm. An unusual addition to any shohin display.
