The Barberies are a large group of easily cultivated shrubs and feature amongst our most commonly planted garden ornamentals.
They tend to exhibit interesting floiage colours often with spectacular autumn shows. They are mostly spring flowering and tend to have pale yellow to orange blossoms, sometimes followed by berries.
This part styled example is actually a fairly substantial tree with a trunk measuring 13cm. across above the roots and 20cm. at soil level. Lots of scope to improve on what you see in the photos, maybe a bit of carving to ” naturalise ” any cut branch stubs. Certainly some branch refinement and growth to increase ramification. They are so easy to grow that this should not be a long job. The pot is hand made UK origin and measures 42x34x8cm. Lots of potential here.
