This workshop day will focus exclusively on the all important task of re-potting your bonsai. In our view it is the most critical of all bonsai techniques to understand and to master. There will be a look at the various growing mediums and the part they play in developing healthy roots as well as the correct preparation of those growing mediums. Root pruning is perhaps the most daunting of all bonsai tasks, especially for the beginner, but it is critical to maintaining healthy trees. How to prune, how much to prune and when to prune will all be covered.
The day will be a mix of theory and practical so bring trees along that you think need re-potting. You will be able to purchase all you need to carry out the work, growing medium, wire etc. and we always have a good range of pots for sale should you need to change the pot. As will all our days it includes refreshments available throughout the day and a snack lunch in the middle of the day.
