Product Information

One of the native tree species that we are often asked about but so rarely have for sale as bonsai is the Common or English oak, Quercus robur. The species, being as it is native to the UK, is very robust and easy to grow as bonsai, though perhaps lacks the ideal characteristics of other trees in the way it responds to pruning. Nevertheless it can make beautiful and interesting bonsai. This particular example is a very attractive group planting that already exhibits great characteristics of age in the five trunks which vary from 3cm to 5 cm across at the base. Witin the top height of 62cm and the spread of 84cm. I think a very nice arrangement has been created. A bit more time in which growing and pruning is carried out will result in a fuller branch structure further improving the already nice image. The pot is a Mica oval group planting tray that measures 64x33x6.5cm. This is an opportunity to add to your collection a quite rare and attractive bonsai forest planting.
